CPSKIT / UPDATES
What's new on CPSKit
A dated log of what’s new on CPSKit — new tools, improvements and fixes, newest first. Everything here is something you can see or use, described in plain language.
Clearer reaction and typing tests
The reaction and typing tests now explain exactly what each score measures and where its limits are. Reaction attempts are labelled by how you responded — mouse, touch or keyboard — so your own comparisons stay fair.
Keyboard test works with a keyboard alone
You can now start, run and finish the keyboard test using only the keyboard — no mouse required. Press Tab to finish and record your run.
Easier-to-read blog posts
Every article now has a table of contents, a link to try the matching tool, related articles and — where relevant — the open dataset, all in a sidebar that follows you as you scroll.
Deeper explanations on every tool
The reaction, aim, clicks-per-minute, keyboard-counter, spacebar and typing pages now explain what the number means, how to read your result and what it can and cannot tell you.
Clearer privacy and cookie choices
The privacy page now spells out that the site uses privacy-respecting analytics, which only run after you accept cookies. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time from the footer.
Six new tests
Added typing speed (WPM), aim, reaction time, clicks-per-minute (CPM), spacebar and keyboard-counter tests — each running entirely in your browser with your results saved on your device.
Redesigned homepage and navigation
Reorganised the homepage and navigation so every test is easy to find, and refreshed the blog with a cleaner look.
